Defective amiibo for sale on Ebay

Awhile back pictures of a defective amiibo started circulating the net. The figure in question was a Samus which through an apparent factory quirk ended up with dual arm cannons (yes it does look awesome). Honestly i'm still not convinced that this isn't a hoax yet because having not seen the regular Samus amiibo up close I can't figure out how exactly this mistake could have occured.
